Who We Are?

The Green Muse was founded by Philippa when she opened Village Green Boutique in 2014 and opened a shop in Clifton Village, Bristol selling pre-loved designer brands. Having previously worked as a Chartered Surveyor for circa 20 years, Philippa gave up her role of buying and selling investment property and followed her dream of working in clothes and fashion. Philippa quickly gained a very loyal customer base and cult ‘following’ and it was from Village Green that emerged The Green Muse.

As well as loving all things fashion Philippa enjoys watching rugby, spending time by the sea, travelling, drinking rose with her friends and spending time with her partner Mark and their 4 year old son Freddie.

‘The Green Muse’ brings you a considered edit of preloved premium brands and luxury goods.

Over the years we have recognised a growing demand for quality classic pieces. Buying preloved is a more affordable and accessible way of buying into a luxury brand whilst allowing you to shop with a conscience.

SUSTAINABILITY

At TGM we strive to change the way women shop.  Whether it is by extending the life of your existing items by selling through us or making your next purchase preloved by shopping with us. We are advocates of slow fashion and encourage you to join our movement.

“Buy less. Choose well. Make it last” -Vivienne Westwood.

“Clothes could have more meaning and longevity if we think less about owning the latest or cheapest thing and develop more of a relationship with the things we wear” -Elizabeth L. Cline.

Our sustainability journey is constantly evolving but we are strong believers in leading a simpler life and being considered about the possessions you own; The best way to achieve sustainability through your wardrobe is to buy quality, timeless pieces that will last season after season.
