Top Autumn/Winter Fashion Trends for 2024: Embracing Style and Sustainability
1. Sustainability is Chic - This goes without saying!
As the weather gets colder autumn / winter is a great season to invest in some high-quality timeless pieces. We spend a lot of the year in our winter wardrobes so it's a good time to combine creative layering with practicality and create lots of fab looks using the same core pieces....
A neutral mid or maxi length wool coat is ready for a weekend park walk with jeans, trainers and a beanie hat and is transformed into city chic by a leopard print scarf, knee high boots and a smart leather handbag.
A black / beige roll neck sweater does the same - with black jeans, trainers and a puffer jacket it is perfect and cosy for a pub lunch; then dress it up with a leopard print midi skirt, kitten heel and clutch ready for a night out on the town!

2. Layered Neutrals - No revelations here!
Layering has always been an autumn trend and this season you can't go wrong using a combination of all the neutral shades. We're loving the classic earthy tones like soft beige, warm caramel and rich cream, and this season muted greys seem to be making an appearance as well. The beauty of layering lies in its versatility—and it lets you mix and match old favourites with new sustainable finds to create a whole new look.
Preloved trench coats, oversized knits, chunky scarves and classic blazers are staples that will effortlessly build your autumn wardrobe without breaking the bank or compromising on style, so whilst the change to colder weather isn't welcome in every respect it is a great opportunity to get creative and try some different looks using layering pieces.

3. Oxblood - This Season's HOT colour!
I absolutely love this burgundy / deep red / raspberry / colour that is trending this autumn / winter. It's warm, it's neutral, it reminds me of a full bodied red wine and it goes with just about everything. If this colour isn't for you then maybe try a pop of khaki, pink, blue, grey or yellow which are also on trend this season.

4. SCOATS - Sounds like a small furry animal!
As the name suggests - the 'Scoat' is a coat that has an inbuilt co-ordinating scarf. What's not to love about that?! It was first introduced by the brand Toteme and, as ever, has been replicated all over the hight street. It's practical, it can be stylish and it will most definitely keep you warm. But if you are thinking of investing then maybe choose one where the scarf element is detachable just in case you get fed up with the 'Scoat' as a permanent combo.
